Born in Jamaica and relocated to the United States in the early 2000s, Kimeca has built a career that blends craft and community, spanning hair care, graphic design, and storytelling.

As a collaborator who calls herself a "unity builder," she helps organize Juneteenth DeLand: Unity in the Community Celebration , an annual gathering that honors freedom, culture, and the shared future of the neighborhood she calls home.
